What is a transfer (EPP / Auth) code and where do I get it?

It is the password needed to move a domain to another provider. Get it from your current provider’s client area or support team.

How long does a transfer take?

For international extensions such as .com and .net, transfers usually complete within 5–7 days after approval. .tr transfers are faster.

Will my site go down during the transfer?

No. As long as your nameservers don’t change, your site and email keep working throughout.

What happens to my remaining time?

For international extensions the transfer fee includes a one-year renewal; your remaining time is kept and a year is added.

When is a transfer not possible?

If the domain was registered or transferred within the last 60 days, if the transfer lock is on, or if it has expired.
